What is TIP?
TIP stands for Teacher Interdisciplinary Partners. Two teachers work collaboratively with two classes of students. One teacher teaches both groups of students the subjects of Reading, Language Arts, and related Literacy. The other teacher teaches Math, Science and Social Studies. One class is in a classroom with Teacher A in the morning and will move to the classroom of Teacher B in the afternoon and vice versa. As customary, students will have a dedicated group of classmates for the year. Students attend art, music and PE with their dedicated group of classmates. The frequency and length of class time for these specials will remain unchanged.
